Swapping to the grenade launcher you decide to turn a few marauding undead into chunky salsa.

Crashing, screeching, exploding, and rending, erupts from behind you. You jump out of your seat and topple your keyboard onto the floor.
What the fuck was that, you ask
You peek out the window and a minivan has plowed into the side of the house across the street, and is starting to burn the tree it is wrapped around. Gas tank rupture and sparks do not mix.
You don't know what to do, you're in shock and your breath has not caught up from the fright.
But fear leads to confusion as a nub of an arm, hand missing at the wrist, climbs from underneath the wreckage. Another arm with hand twisted and broken emerges. Then a head with long hair matted with blood. Then a torso. Then no more besides trailing entrails.
You shit yourself as the form crawls toward onlookers. One Samaritan rushes to help and is soon missing a chunk of leg that the crawling torso is nibbling on now.
You idly remember that your father has a gun upstairs, but you're transfixed by watching.

Her legs burn, she pushes herself further than she's gone before. Filled with rage and desire as the music pumps from her earphones in the same rhythm that her blood pumps.
Watching her form, she is satisfied. The last set of squats over, gym day over. She sips from her water bottle contentedly, and wipes the sweat dripping from her brow and chest.
A glance at the strapping men lifting twice her weight, and a sideways scan of the television: the image of flesh rended passes across and she glances away. Continuing to walk.
Wait, what was that?
Not a trick, shaky live footage at a sporting event of cannibalism and horror. One by one the array of TVs switches over to more live footage. police footage, sports fans, grocery clerks, news reporters. All a different scene, but all the same. All bloody.
Some patrons of the gym don't notice. Some gawk in horror or wonder.
But this woman knows, and fears. She's toyed with this concept before, and coldly and calmly, she freaks out, rushes to the door. To the street. To her car.
Keys in the ignition, a few moments pause as the engine turns over, she curses her older car, but glances to the hunting knife she keeps stashed within reach. Little knowing that it'll become a good friend. One of her best.
As would the Ruger 10/22 she keeps at home. Pulling it from storage after hastily parking in the driveway.
That's when the screaming starts. that's when the soreness kicks in from her workout. But it isn't an issue. She likes how her muscles feel.
Lets her know she's getting stronger. Improving. More ready for this, this apocalypse.

You're still fantasizing when you see her get up and run to the front of the room. Your boss was shaky and nervous about the presentation, and you chalked that up to bad speaking skills. But he was sick, it turns out. Monica has run over to help him.
Seeing him cough up blood shoots you back into reality. Monica and Phillip are covered in your bosses blood and you rush to assist, still in a daze. The older man thrashes violently trying to escape the arms of those helping him. He grasps onto you firmly and you're still confused, just doing what you can.
Why are you hurting now, though? So many hectic happenings, you've missed that moments ago, his bloodied lips have clamped onto your new suit and torn through. Torn a piece from your helping arm.
You scream, Monica screams. You can't deal with this anymore and rush off. Monica screams for you, but you must go to the bathroom. Clean the blood from your suit.
