Basically, what happened was it burst and we didn't really know. I mean I was sick to a fuckawesome degree, throwing up crayon yellow and black, but my doctor was a dumb shit and didn't put 2+2 together about the whole thing. What saved my life though was the fact that it had leaked so much crap out that when it burst it had walled itself off and didn't effect any of my other internal organs.

I was in the hospital for about seven days, couldn't eat or drink water the entire time, living off of an IV. There was this machine pumping a black fluid out of me for a few days, it was actually pretty cool.

At the time I was installing and repairing fireplaces. On this job I was supposed to install a modern fireplace insert into an old masonry fireplace. In order to do that you have to cut out the damper, this fireplace had a particularly low smoke shelf so I ended up using a grinder less than a foot from my face.

I should have been wearing a full face mask, and to make things worse since you have so little space to manoeuvre in I had no guard on the grinder either.

Now I have a scar on my face to remind me how stupid I was for the rest of my life.

Don't have any pics, but this happened Around Halloween last year.

Was making Black Rice on the stove top, and I took the lid off to stir it, and held it making contact with my wrist. Burnt it nicely. Lost some skin, and it became infected (Became white, secreted a yellow, white liquid and started to smell a bit). Being the Idiot I am, I left it untreated, and now I'm left with a kidney shaped scar, and a rectangular patch of discoloured skin around it.

How long ago did it happen?
When I was younger I dropped 40lbs of steel on my foot, well toe, and it's didn't break but half my nail fell off. I went to the doctor who then cut off the other half so that way my whole nail would grow back at the same rate.
It took a couple months but the whole thing grew back, and while it was a bit thicker for a while, it's all normal now.
