I'm by no means the best or most popular, but I'm satisfied with my Instagram overall. I follow about 470 people. My "follower to following" ratio used to be a lot different, but I started following back most of my followers because I realized I would lose people all the time due to apps like Crowdfire.

I don't really have one niche or theme, but most of my stuff fits in a "creative aesthetic". I photograph nature, urban architecture, musical instruments, records, etc... I'm a low key hipster and my Instagram kind of reflects that.

My most popular post has just over 100 likes, and it's a photo of the stage from Prince's final concert. I posted the photo the day after I saw the concert, and it only got around 50 or so likes, but it had a huge jump after his death.

In theory, with 500 followers, I should be getting more likes on my photo rather than the average 45-50 - but I generally don't like unfollowing people.
