I can unfortunately not wear contacts. I would grow a beard if I could, but only if it grows well and evenly.

I'd let it grow out a bit on top and see how it looks. Buzzcuts are pretty good at displaying the smallest details of your skull shape, even more so than being completely clean shaven.

do more bipedal things like walking for like the MAJORITY of your day. seriously if you have been stationary longer than you have been in motion during the waking hours you have some serious exercise to do to compensate for that.

Also I think that if you got your body fat down a bit more, you could pull off a really nice 5 a clock shadow. Given that your jaw line becomes more defined.

hair gel is outta fashion these days.

get a hair cut thats neat and fashionable thats you won't have to look after much besides trim.

and with teh way you are acting I'm guessing you wear the same clothes for years. legit I know they are clean and what not but you can tell you have been wearing them for years. try wearing clothes that make you feel more confident and feel good. smile more don't slump your shoulders. it scares people off. shoulders back chest out and think confident.

its up to you to figure out what gets you in the head space though.

long hair is super hard to pull off. don't think you will make it buddy.

also I'm not a hair dresser man. I could just spam pics of hot asian dudes but I don't think that will help.

all I got to say is keep hair tidy and don't try to go full dragon ball z with the hair gel man. a bit is fine but not so muchhhh.

i swear to god it doesn't look as bad as you think it does. just smile. your brain is to use to seeing your depressed mug and is protesting the difference. ignore it and smile. it will get easier. you don't have to walk around smiling like a lunatic but take advantage of every social que that would suggest smiling would be a go idea. saying hi to someone, SMILE. asking how their day was SMILE. try and work in a simple compliment into starting a conversation with someone SMILE.

if smiling is to hard atm. try tilting you face down a tad so you are more down towards the camera and smirk. just think of something funny and make sure it reaches your eyes. you need to be able to see a slight crease around teh eyes from the smile/smirk otherwise it will look scary.
