death in june, of the wand and the moon, forseti, hekate and rome are really great. it's usually a popular genre with alt-right types, as the artists often use "unusual" imagery, hence my question. it's also great innawoods music, forseti in particular.

what do you mean with "live in the woods", btw? an isolated house in a countryside village, or something like a cabin deep in the woods a la thoreau?

Better do that before you hit your 30's and look at yourself knowing you didn't do anything to have a better life.

:/ That doesn't sound healthy, bro. Either you need to take the leap, even if it hurst both of you at first, or else you need to find a way to work through your problems together and rekindle whatever was there at the start.

Trust me, ages back, I got stuck in a loveless relationship for 5 years; you REALLY don't want to do that.

...no? dropping out of hs is perhaps -correlated- with some of those traits, but it is not -causative-, its because poor people and the intellectually disabled are more likely to have some of those traits and also more likely to drop out. still, the vast majority of the people with those traits that you will meet followed the full normie path and graduated hs + college, formal education does nothing for the willfully ignorant, you have to want to learn. i educate myself, i read regularly, i'm a kind person, i strive to admit when i'm wrong, none of those things came from schooling. anyways, yeah your logic is pretty shit and you don't seem like a particularly bright person, but maybe you're just having an off day, who knows.

I got 1 year already, things started going downhill after the third month. I feel like I got myself into it looking for redemption for hurting a lot of people in the past. I used to dump people over minimal things and now I am here reapeating "things will go better" to myself even though I know it wont.

Thanks for the advice, I feel like I am getting closer and closer to taking the leap and leaving.
>>
>>24084695
It was a question. A question meant genuinely as an inquiry, and to invite further discussion in clarification of something that superficially, and without any context of your views on the failings of the education system seemed contradictory, or at least surprising. It was meant to demonstrate interest in your life-choices, and a desire to get to know more about you. Nobody else on here would have been offended by such a question; It's you who took it as rude, and might I suggest (and yes, this time I am being rude) that it's precisely that automatic defensiveness and likelihood to snap which ensures that you remain a single virgin with no social life and extremely limited happiness rating.

>>24084719
Well shit, getting into a relationship you weren't sure about in order to make amends for hurting people in the past may not have been the wisest decision in the world, eh?

I hope it all works out for you somehow, and that you two can both find your paths with minimal hard feelings. All I can recommend is frankness about how you've been feeling when the time comes.
>>
>>24084741

>It was a question. A question meant genuinely as an inquiry

...no? it just signals that you lack basic logic skills, graduating high school has nothing to do with any of those things, unless you stereotype every person who does not blindly follow the path laid out for them by the powers that be to automatically be a moron. it wasn't a good faith question, it was either purposefully written to "offend" or willfully ignorant

>nobody else on here would have been offended by such a question

don't think you can actually speak for hundreds of random people you don't know but ok.

I don't really care if that's what is ensuring my continued hikkimorihood, i value truth and genuineness over "sucking it up" and kissing the asses of ignorant dicks in the hopes that they might get over themselves and "like me". if those are the only two options, i will happily stay this way, as that seems like a much worse existence to me.

Which is precisely why you were expected to read between the lines like a normal, social person and recognise that what was really being said was "from what you've written about yourself, it seems like you don't hold high regard for classical education, and have taken an alternate route. Would you care to expand upon that and discuss your reasons for choosing that path, and how you feel it's done you so far?".

Instead, you took the overly-aggressive path of assuming I was a moron, and taking offence at a harmless question that was only trying to invite conversation. I may have been being facetious when I mocked your defensiveness as the cause of your hikkimorihood, but your aggressive response displays alarmingly underdeveloped social-skills; whichever is the cause or the symptom, I feel like you need to work on that.

>don't think you can actually speak for hundreds of random people you don't know but ok.

Well, I have evidence to support my view: In that same post which so aggravated you, I was similarly crude with another poster, saying "Is it normal for someone with a partner to list their ideal partner as themselves?". I didn't even give him the benefit of a "without meaning to be rude".

And you know what? He responded like a normal human being. He understood the social cues, didn't assume that I was attacking him for no reason, and we had a nice chat about his situation.

This standing in stark contrast to your response where you make all sorts of unfounded assumptions about me and my intentions, assume the worst, and (in the process of get on the defensive) assume every negative characteristic you've found cause to imprint onto me; don't talk to me about speaking for other people.

Also:
>I will happily stay this way
>Confesses to being hugely unhappy

Perhaps a change of approach wouldn't be so bad, eh?
>>
>>24085128

plural of anecdote is not data, one person does not count as "evidence" of the entire board.

i have actual diagnosed aspergers, i am well aware i have "underdeveloped social-skills", but if developing them means becoming like you then no, i really would not want them. i would be hugely unhappy either way, i would be "faking it" and doing actions i actually despise in other people in an attempt to be something i'm not, it would not change the fundamental nature of my personality. at least i am genuine and i don't loathe myself, that to me is better than the alternative.

you could have asked the "what you really meant" and you would have gotten a nicer answer, but when you ask a rude, standoff-ish question that is the type of answer you will get back from me. you genuinely do not seem like you wanted an actual conversation, you could have clearly stated your intentions in that case, instead you choose to be "edgy" and provocative instead of just speaking to me like another human being and i'm really just not in the mood for it.

> don't talk to me about speaking for other people.

kek, literally every "negative characteristic i found cause to imprint on you" had clear evidence in the text, i was not talking out of my ass about the opinions of an entire board.

anyways, i'm headed to bed, glad to have ended the day in yet another boring shit-fight on 4chan dot net. gn thread.

I love Björk, personally. She has a couple albums that I'm not super into, but she has an overall stellar discography. Have you tried to listen to Vulnicura? A lot of people consider it her best work in the past 10 years.

I thought Divers was better than HOOM, but not by a significant amount. What'd you think of it?
>>
>>24088638

All of Newsom's albums rank in my top 15, but I think that Have One on Me had much higher peaks than Divers -- '81 for example -- but that Divers was a more tight and consistent album, which is what you would expect considering the fact that HOOM was 3 disks.

I think that my ranking of Newsom albums would be

1. Have One on Me
2. Milk Eyed Mender
3. Divers
4. Ys

But, as I said my 4th favourite Joanna Newsom album is still one of my favourite albums of all time. What about you?
>>
>>24088667
I'm pretty similar there. She has a great discography.

1. Divers
2. HOOM
3. Ys
4. Milk Eyed Mender

MEM is great, but Ys really kicked her up a notch for me with its progressive folk. I eat that shit up.
>>
>>24088685

Agreed. Ys actually used to be my favourite of hers, but as far as her discography goes it can really be "pick any".
>>
>>24088694
Yup.. can't really go wrong with any of her albums. She seems to take her time, so I'm guessing it'll be 4+ more years before a new album. :(

I'm fine with that in theory, but gahhhhhh.
>>
>>24083148
Ah thanks
This is a fairly updated chart actually. Most of my music is wacky pretentious stuff or jazzy or even prog rock. I'm a massive music whore and i might occasionally write my own stuff but i'm clueless at mixing / mastering so it always sounds like anus when im done
>>
>>24088614
I like Liturgy but I'm more into something in the vein of Deafheaven, old Alcest, Harakiri For The Sky and Toluca.
>>
>>24089086
Ah, okay.. was just wondering. I can't get into Liturgy or Deafheaven. My friend likes them both. Anything you'd recommend that might be in the same genre but not the same intensity? Black metal is really hit or miss for me.. mostly miss, it seems. And the only kind of death metal I seem to like is technical death metal shit like Deviant Process, Leprous, and Omnium Gatherum.
>>
>>24089184
the most recent releases from Alcest have been amazing, they still have that nostalgia of old records but with more clean vocals and feels. You should definitely give it a try.

Depends, some days are better than others. We have almost zero direct contact with patients which some people prefer, but when you have a whole lot of STAT specimens that need to be processed and one of your analyzers goes down you gotta really scramble to pick up the pace. But I enjoy it a lot.
>>

Yeah, Mr Robot's amazing, it can be kind of cheesy in places I'll admit but the good acting, cinematography etc overshadows that. The hacking's also more realistic than in other movies and TV shows, it's not perfect but it's never really ridiculous either.
Do you have a tutor or are you teaching yourself? The violin isn't really the kind of instrument you can teach yourself like a guitar.
