Is Facebook a dead social media platform? I am 23 years old with about 600 people on my friends list, and hardly anybody posts anything. The only people who post things are women with low self-esteem who desperately need validation. I rarely see men posting anything ever.

What's going on this with?

bumping out of interest because not sure if having a normie book is mandatory for having a social life or not

I have absolutely no social life.

On Facebook, I just post my photography from backpacking trips, and music I've made. People I've known from the past interact with that stuff, but I don't actually see ANY of them in real life.

Who are you even friends with? I have about 377 friends (that was culled down from 450 and I still feel like I have too many) and I'm constantly getting new updates every half hour-hour.

Gotta follow people and things you like.

I guess it just depends on who you are and what you use it for. If you have a fair amount of friends or friend groups it's nice to use to keep up with everyone. If you have a core group of people you socialize with and you already keep up with them elsewhere (text, other sites/apps, in person) then feel free to keep doing what you're doing I guess. I do think for me personally FB does help me keep up with my friends and stay in contact with people. I do have a pretty regular social life offline and a handful of different friend groups to keep up with (online, high school, college, work, hobbies) and it's a good way for me to share my own shit as well. Social media def isn't for everyone though so if you really don't want to deal with FB then don't.
