Good effort. You need to eat more. Track exactly what you eat, count the calories every single day for everything you put in your mouth for 2 weeks, and make sure you are at +3000cals a day minimum.

If you struggle to gain weight, get a food intolerance test done.

The reason I was as skinny as I was to start, as much as I hated to admit it was the fact that my eating habits were so shitty. I decided I was fed up with always being ridiculously skinny, and decided not that I wanted to change, but that I would change. I got a weight gainer, and had a shake every day, on top of eating everything I could get my hands on, even when I wasn't hungry. Some people will advise you not to do this, but if you're strictly trying to gain weight, all calories are good calories. If you have the option to eat MacDonalds, take it. Though there are better options, in the situation you're (we're) in, eating something is better than not eating. I go to the gym 4-5 times a week, with muscle groups split into different days (pretty simple stuff). Back and biceps, chest and triceps, and leg day. Don't ever skip leg day, because you gain a lot of weight quickly in your legs, and leg workouts cause your body to promote muscle growth in other areas. Don't be embarrassed to be the skinniest guy at the gym either, but do be embarrassed to be the skinniest guy not at the gym not trying to improve.
