Did i fall for the trap?
As long as you aren't an idiot, and only took it because you think it's lucrative, then no, you'll be fine.

Do people actually do that, why would go spend 4 years of hard work because "ENGNIGGRRS GET PAID ALOT"
Also >Implying engineers make alot of money
>>9169924
I'm sure you were a 300k starting mathematician PhD who got any job you want in any field of your choice, bucko

Yes, people do actually do that. I know too many people who took engineering in college and dropped out because of all the weed out classes (Intro Physics, Calculus, etc.).
And no, they aren't really hard, it's just some people don't put in any effort.
Also, Engineers do make a decent amount of money. The average engineer salary - provided you aren't civil, or industrial - is roughly 2 times the average family income in America. 20+ year seasoned engineers can make anywhere from 100 - 200k. Which is a pretty large sum of money.
Ahahahahahah butthurt pure sciences poorlets

Depends. How much do you enjoy being surrounded by uninteresting neckbeards who will gloat about insignificant factoids while sucking the professor's dick?

Engineering is a good choice. I regret not taking it back then
