So this is purely hypothetical, please ignore this thread FBI/NSA.
Let's see about the "perfect murder" and the possible science behind what could be done to catch the criminal at fault.
So it goes like this, you drive somewheres for 3 hours, it's middle of the night on a long dark country road. You spot a lone car driving towards you, he stops your car to ask directions or whatever. But he instead pulls a gun and fires. The gun never left his car so all casings are recoverable. He will continue to drive for 3 more hours away from his home to deposit the casings, say deep inns woods, buried and with a nearby weed transplanted over top. It was a completely random killing you did not know him and there are no witnesses of the event.
How could LE potentially locate and arrest your killer? He also stayed in state to prevent any sort of cross border tollbooth cams from filming him.
Will your murder be solved. Poc not related
Source on pic? Bullet in the body is traceable to a purchase, no?
Tbh, it would be really hard to trace a murder like that (but what do I know?). One kill like this couldn't be traced, but serial killers always get caught eventually.

No source, but I was assuming the gun is bought illegally, might be something for Feds there, potentially. If it's legally bought and used by said murderer then yeah, it would be an obvious route to him.
guns play music that doesn't turn off when you fire them now
getting chopped up w/ axe would be cleaner

The perfect murder with which you can get away is only when your country tells you to murder someone. You can even get a medal if you're a serial killer for them.

>GSR in car
>GSR on clothes
>possible tire tracks
>3+ hours until he is home
>suspect by possible (traffic, gas station..etc)camera sighting, remember it's the middle of the night so not many other cars to see
Also depends on how quickly the dead person is found. If they find him before the murderer gets home there's a possibility he gets stopped on his way back, and without a good alibi, a field GSR test could show residue, or the suspicious police could match tire tracks to his car, and/or the gun could be found in car.
Why you wouldnt just melt the casings down at home instead of driving 3 hours away from home, after a murder. You wouldnt want to be seen by ANYONE. Even one hobo saying he saw a car matching your description could lead to getting caught.
(also) Police can match the gun to the bullet so even more reason to limit any exposure

Ahahahahaha. Most serial killers are never caught. Most murders go unsolved.
You literally only need to not be retarded.
Have kitchen knives.
Sharpen one. Stab someone.
Put knife in bag so not to drip blood all over.
Go home.
Wash knife and yourself carefully.
Done.
Only part left is to plan place and time to not be seen but if you don't care who you'll murder that's pretty easy.
Thousands of people drive hundreds of miles every day. If no one saw you shortly before, during or after the deed you would be totally fine.
Eventually in about say 30 years or whatever when we have fully reached a thought crime state they will check if any phones/cars visited that area via gps on both.

Fuck off OP go look elsewhere if you want the internet to help you kill your ex-wife.

I saw on TV how they caught a murderer 17 years later by noticing the way this girl's hands were bound that they had to use a specific hand tie to cause cuts that way. They then went to the manufacturer for that specific type of hand tie, and based on the way the date the girl died, were able to pinpoint exactly which machine was used and what batch it ended up in and who it was sold to. Narrowed it down to a couple police stations, eliminated everyone who had a clear alibi, and did a bunch of investigations until they found a friend of a friend who possibly could have stolen it and fucking went to his house and used mind tricks until he confessed to doing it.
If they could do all that based on cuts on someone's arm, imagine what they're able to do with knife wounds.

What about security cameras, traffic cameras, and license plate readers?
The physical surveillance network continues to grow unabated.

They do some amazing stuff sometimes. SOMETIMES being the key word. Basically what they show on TV is the most amazing things the police has done. They don't show the other 50 cases in which they noticed nothing.

Hoodie and sunglasses. it really does work. Plus pick a spot with no direct surveillance.
It's incredibly easy. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_people_who_disappeared_mysteriously Better question is, why are you wasting your potential on murdering people?
