I'm in my mid 30's and went back to community college a few years ago, decided to major in Computer Science. I'll be transferring to a good University next year.
My question is: Can I earn a living wage while being competent at my profession? I'm not a genius but I have straight A's in everything CS, MATH, Physics, etc related, so I think I can at least function.
Or do I need to "stand out" and out perform everyone while working ungodly hours weekly just to keep my job. I really just want to live and not make my job my life.

>As in Computer Science, Physics, and Mathmematics courses taken with young people (age 18-22).
>I'm not a genius
You are actually quite smart to get A's while being over 30 years old and competing with young people, you know that right?

Is it true that in Computer Science there is no *science*, and there's no... *computer* as well...?

I know I'm not dumb, but I am sure Universities in Undergrad courses have far more gifted students. I just want to have a degree so I can get a job that pays a decent wage. I get the impression sometimes that people think you have to be "passionate" and "love" everything about your job or career choice.

You'll earn a comfy living with CS even if you're awful. Great field for employment.
