Social proof.... whatever the women *PERCEIVE* are the most well respected and liked males.

Theres some other instincts involved in there, but generally, the men that other men respect the most are the ones that women like.

At least, the men that women THINK other men respect.

Around here it is money, money and more money. In fact there was a scandal a few years ago when women started using their employers credit checking facilities to see if last nights date also was hot financially. Rather mercenary.
