Then brush up on your geometry, trig, algebra, and reading comprehension, because the general test is basically SAT 2.0. There's no college level math or reading questions on there, but you might get tripped up if you haven't touched the lower level stuff in a while.

I took a prep course that wasn't so much about what/how to study, but rather test taking strategies. It was very helpful and increased my score (from a practice test I took before the course to the actual GRE) by nearly 100 points.

If I'm paying $200 for a test I'd rather try at least to do a couple of sample tests so I know what kind of questions they'll ask. Personally I went from getting 90th percentile in 40 minutes vs 97th in 20 minutes for the math portion just by doing the test once.
