how rare is this actually, /sci/?
Very common when DRUMPF is the president.
Fuck DRUMPF. Fuck white "people".
Common, it's just been a while since they developed at the exact right latitude to effect the US

this
drumpfkns should now that with global warning this will happen every single year

Pretty common. The record, by the way, is four Atlantic basin hurricanes at the same time, which has happened twice.
iirc, there have been five Pacific cyclones at once, but can't be arsed to go look.
As a Floridian who is about to lose power, I'm pretty sensitive to Hurricane frequency. For the 30 years I've been watching them, they really have cycles. You'll go 10 years without seeing anything and then 5 years of crazy Hurricane activity. You have to have a pretty wide, 20+ year statistical view of the situation to try and make any actual judgement of rises and falls in frequency.
Since I know you're probably on the edge of your seat looking for the mention of global warming, I'll say that anyone who tries to play that card is just going to backfire in 4 years when we go another 10 years with very few major Hurricanes. Stick to concrete measurements, not measurements of things that are printed on the cover of chaos theory books.

They said that 10 years ago and we have had 0 hurricanes hit the us.

Last time we had 3 hurricanes at once was in 2010.
