What are your opinions on the recent solar activity? I heard you were the smartest people on 4chan, should we be worried?

What are the chances the sun's going to radically change its billion-year-long practices in your lifetime? And what are the chances that anything that we've done as a species has any effect of that massive self-sustaining engine 100 million miles away?
I don't know what the "recent solar activity" is, but whatever's happening it's just random variance.

>What is the iridium layer.
The layer of iridium in the Earth's crust from meteorites. Platinum and Iridium alloy readily with iron, causing them to sink into the Earths' mantle while the planet was being formed. This is why it's a very rare and expensive element on Earth. In space, platinum and iridium are relatively common elements, with greater abundance than lithium.

Opinions don't matter. This level stuff happens every single solar cycle, if you are old enough to post on this site you have already lived through similar events. Can you remember any off the top of your head? No? Then you likely won't notice this one
