Looks like pretty standard fare to me, wouldn't even call it a storm.
Those are typically caused by humid low pressure airfronts from SW->NE hitting with the cold high pressure fronts from NE->SW. Then they mix up in a spiral fashion and the humid air becomes clouds visible in satellite pictures.
Planetary winds create these fronts all the time, and in Europe they usually coincide right about there, or a little more to the west.
