Are there any solutions?

Multiply by [math]b[/math] and solve the polynomial. Then solve for [math]a[/math].

a*b=a/b => ab^2=a => b^2=1 => b= 1, -1

a+1=a*1=a has no solutions
a-1 = a*(-1)=-a has solution a=1/2

so only solution is a=1/2, b=-1

I'm sure a = 0, b = 0 would be a solution if people weren't so autistic about dividing by 0.
