How are your graduate school experience coming along?
I just got out of my first test in the master's program and that shit was hard as fuck. I feel like a fucking failure. I was being asked to prove results in under 40 minutes that would require information about other results never even mentioned in class. Are all tests extremely difficult? Should I adapt better to the graduate life?
Gimme your experiences dealing with this kind of stuff, can be stories or advices.
please talk to me, i'm so alone
I wouldn't know, I got rejected by all the ones I applied to.

Headed off to start my PhD in a week or so. Pretty nervous, but I'm excited about my research topic and my PI seems really cool! Wish me luck.

What're you getting a masters in? The exams are hard but the pay off might be worth it to you. Consider putting other things on the back burner: video games etc. Keep your personal relationships intact though. I'm a PhD student so consider yourself lucky you don't have to ta on top of things.

Computer science.
I always knew that it would demand more effort than undergrad, but I wasn't expecting that level of test. But I'm okay now, will start studying harder. It's a demanding university but it's not impossible, I guess.

so far so fucking good, i didnt realize that by being normal i would be an "accidental alpha" in grad school. made a bunch of new friends who are all super smart, interesting, and overall very genuine. And found the weed dealer within 12 hours of arriving due to some random ass circumstances.
