I start and I'm a little embarrassed that I don't know but could old sail ships without motor stop/break actively? Or would they just let them decelerate naturally?

The most common breaking maneuver for a sailing ship is "Heaving To". This allows you to break without messing with your sail setting.

If a moving charge generates a magnetic field, how come there isn't magnetic fields everyhwere? Is it because these charges in every day objects are all moving at different speeds in different directions so the net magnetic field is essentially 0?

was pic related meant to be a joke that went over everyone's heads? like underwater meaning bankrupt. or do libshits unironically believe in climate change to the extent that they think trump's resorts will literally be underwater in just a few years' time?

There are magnetic fields everywhere, they're negligible though.

When it happens it will be quite sudden. There is a tipping point at which the ice caps on Greenland and Antarctica will collapse into the sea, and this point will come long before the global temperature is high enough to actually melt the icecaps completely.

>“Transfer rates of 23 MB/s (Mega Bytes per second) are not just highly unlikely, but effectively impossible to accomplish when communicating over the Internet at any significant distance,”
??? i know distance affects latency but does it affect transfer rates? if i get fiber optic broadband then will the speed be bottlenecked not just by the capabilities of the server and the server's internet provider but by the distance to the server???

how do you even "get experience" or do research while in uni? like say I want to get into an internship program at google japan (cause I'm studying at a top uni here) I'm starting compsci in april next year. I can speak five languages (they ask for jap english bilingualism for ex)
so how do I build my curriculum and how does one go about doing research while in uni?
I want to get a PhD and research AI. I know I can ask the professors once I get in but I want some info beforehand, if possible from someone with experience.
(I'm on a full ride, and I can extend that ride to PhD if I get a good gpa)

I appreciate any response, thanks.

Is there a set method to find out how many x's it takes to get y?
For example how many 0.03's will it take to reach 2^32?

>Is there a set method to find out how many x's it takes to get y?
Yes. It's called "division".

>i know distance affects latency but does it affect transfer rates?
No. That article is complete bullshit.
