The definition of a species or subspecies is no longer based on the "viable offspring" idea, but rather rigorous genetic testing. Sorry, but all humans alive today are more genetically similar to one another than two different troops of chimpanzees are.

1. the parents have such different reproductive systems that the offspring's reproductive system is really fucked up
2. different chromosome numbers
