What does /sci/ think about statistics? Do you like it? Do you find it useful?

Applied Meth. Rely reavily on CS & Pure Meth.
Every Natural & Social Science uses it as a Tool.

Do you think it is easier to go from pure math to stats or the other way around?
>>9115064
Pure Math is harder & more abstract.
However a (Graduate) Degree in Math will open opportunities in both fields.
I'm not sure if a Statistics PhD can do Research in Pure Math.
But certainly a PhD in Math can do Research in both Pure & Applied Math later.
BSc in Statistics, CS or Physics can switch to PhD in Applied Math.

Thanks for your suggestions anon!
I think stats is great and I think it is useful for almost all STEM disciplines

>Do you like it?
Enjoyment is associated with it.
I am brarinlet, so I am doing maths and stats. I wish I was smarter to do real maths, but ironically it will be easier to find a job with maths and stats degree.

If you haven't figured it out yet, all science is statistics. Fags here claim math is the "purest" field of the hard sciences and then quickly but ignorantly assume THEIR field of "expertise" (but they're on 4chan, so not really expertise) is more "pure" than chemistry, physics,... What these low iq degenerates don't realize is that only statistics is the purest of science as it is the only field that describes and tries to predict physical phenomenae.

Both pure maths and statistics are philosophy(which we apply to science like chemistry, physics, etc), not science.
