I have to admit though that i have only taken a glance at some of the listed books.

I am planning to take a closer look at Paul Teller’s A Modern Formal Logic Primer (mentioned in chapter 1.5) since it's free.
The only (slightly) annoying thing about it so far is the notation (uses ~ as the negation sign for example)
