Dynamics Systems & Complex Systems are very interesting research fields.
Inspired by the success of Physics, we tried to apply reductionism to all of the sciences, with biology being the biggest culprit.
This turned out to be a gigantic mistake.

I do admit this is mostly just because the analytical tools needed did not exist. Biology is really a data analytics problem, and you need fast computers to do that properly.
