So there's this site nutrionfacts.org. It suggests that essentially the only healthy thing to eat is fruits and vegetables.
Except 30% of "facts" are of the form "X might cause Y" (read: literally fucking nothing), "X correlates to Y" (suggesting causation of which there is no evidence whatsoever) and "the way X is obtained is bad" (talking about heavy metal poisoning and toxins, ignoring all the pesticides on plants).
Also for all the talk about meat and dairy aging you... How about no meat and no dairy? There's been no studies on the negative effects on that.
So how DO you navigate your way throughout this whole bullshit ocean? They love to talk about non-vegetarianism being sponsored by big meat, big dairy and shit, but don't like to mention how much of information is sponsored by big greens, which is a power to be reckoned with - now more than ever.
look at the raw facts rather than ambiguous terms like "toxin"
Good thread, does anyone know good and actual informative books on that subject? Preferably written by a college professor specialized on food.

Use chemistry and the constitution of your body as a guide.
You need TONS OF SATURATED FAT to make all your hormones and cell walls for instance.
You are building a house anon. Just find out what materials you need.

you can't separate the true from the bullshit because, as you suggested it, it's not a science. Results are not reproducible. and you know why ? because the subject is human. Our mind, our environment influence too much the result.
