I'm solving an integral for dx/(x^3), or could be 1/(x^3) dx
Sorry for not using tex, new to this thread but I've heard you're good.
The thing is that solving it with the exponent formula v^n dv and solving it witht the natural logarithm formula dv/v gives me different results that don't add up.
Why???? I'm driving myself crazy. Help sci.
Sci won't help you, you fucking moron.
That ain't shit for sci.
Your integrals are the same.
Think of it as x^(-3) dx and integrate with the exponent rule. The natural logarithm rule is just the special case.
For example, integral of 1/(x^2) dx = x^(-2) dx = -1/x
