/sci/entists currently in or recently graduated from college, do you prefer etextbooks and a netbook/tablet or physical books and why?
also major/year for demographic reference
I prefer physical textbooks because I can never really take online pdfs or stuff like that as seriously. However online pdfs and all are useful for working when you're not at home, since all you need is your phone and your notebook.

As for OP, I take PDFs on my phone so I can read whenever I want, but I buy good books so I can do serious studying from.

Physical textbooks if I want to study it seriously and e-books when I just want to find a few things or read them casually
All of them are great, ebooks are very handy, but for some research, you need paper, and a notebook is mandatory.
just graduated with a degree in mathematics. physical textbooks all the way

nice post
but can i get it in paperback?
Physical textbooks. They're easier for me to read through, I can make notes more easily, and they continue to work indefinitely when the power goes out.
