Hey /sci, what's the best book on astronomy that you could recommend to me? Nothing too advanced, I just want to know more about our solar system, possibly even Milky way as well.
All I know about astrology is the names of the planets in our solar system and their rotations and orbits and nothing else. All submissions are thanked in advance.

bumping again, just waiting for a reply.
Anyone have any recommendation?
What about the one written by Giancarlo Masini?
The Cosmic Perspective is pretty good, not too simple, not overly complicated, good intro to the field with plenty of subject matter. Not much emphasis on the maths involved if that's what you're looking for, more conceptual.

Thanks, I'll check it out.
How about Brian Cox's Wonders of the Solar System and Wonders of the Universe? Despite that there are pages with walls of texts, there are some interesting infographics for you to see if you are more into obtaining info through visuals.

Thanks, I'll read that one as well.
