Are there any commercial or pharmaceutical applications for intracellular bacteria?

not that i know of, but you should look up viral capsid drug delivery systems, they are pretty neat
yes, but virus are easier to code
This thread fascinates me, can someone give me a rundown? This isn't my area of expertise.
>intracellular bacteria
>capsid drug delivery systems
>what these can possibly do
Inb4, "Use Google retard." I can and probably will right after posting this, but I want to hear it from you guys, what you guys know, and what you think about the overall idea.
google CRISPR and discover! The first human embryo trials (genome replacement) are over and appear successful. Embryos of course were destroyed before implantation...LOL

Could they be used to make a protein inside of an already living cell without the need for a virus? Seems like it could potentially be safer than using a virus for gene therapy because if something went wrong you could just kill the bacteria. (Biofags please correct me if I am wrong)
There may be uses for them in industry or medicine but as of now it is not practiclal to use them. Intracellular bacteria are difficult to culture, poorly understood, and most of them are pathogenic.
Is it be possible to culture them in side of genetically modified primitive eukaryotes?

How about producing telomerase in small amounts every time a cell divides?
