When I cut for example paper (carbohydrat) with a sharp blade how come the blade always separates the paper BETWEEN two atoms and doesn't ever accidently split an atom and causes a nuclear explosion?
Because your blade is made of atoms and the bond strength is nowhere near strong enough in it to surpass the weak nuclear force.
