Can the brainlets of /sci/ even get this one right?
>>9053806
4.
5 including the signature
>>9053806
19 faggot
>>9053811
there are like 20, wtf are you saying 4?
>>9053818
triangles dont have lines going through them brainlet
6 per row, so 24?
>>9053825
Mfw a triangle has 4 sides
>>9053806
I count:
1 (big one),
3 (the other three with bases parallel to the base of the origianl big one, spanning the other two legs),
12 (the "narrow" ones, taking each sector one-at-a-time as it were),
8 (the "middle" ones, taking each sector two-at-a-time as it were),
So I definitely get at least 1 + 3 + 12 + 8 =24 triangles.
Now tell me, did I miss any?
I only count 10
24
>>9053811
This.
Anyone says otherwise they are pleb brainlet faggots.
>>9053806
They are as many as the ones in the red area, times 4.
In the red area there are 3+2+1=6.
Therefore there are 24 in total.
>>9053806
I count 24. What do I win?
>people think 4 or 24 are the right answer
Fucking kek
It's a single triangle, you can't have more than one just because there's more inside of it
>>9053922
Finish high school before you post on /sci/ pls.
24
Psh, nothing personnel kid
*teleports behind your triangles*
>>9053806
Its 25. Theres a triangle in that one scribble/text
We should settle this by asking /mg/ how to define a triangle.
There aren't any triangles, it's all just squares
>>9054496
Next level shitposting right there, buddy

>>9053806
0, it's a perspective drawing.
>>9053806
3.4+3.4=24
>>9053806
i count 27
>>9055448
shit, I meant 31^2
>>9054348
26. You missed one.
>>9055482
but it's plural, so there could be an infinite number of triangles.
>>9055500
Triangles isn't a triangle, only the Triangle within Triangles is a triangle.
Are you fucking for real? A TRIANGLE has 3 (THREE) sides. The drawing itself is a triangle. If you're going to go and add that to the 3 things om top with three sides (triangles) you get 4. Signature bullshit and another one. Stuff with 4 sides isn't a triangle idiots.
>>9053806
>posts vague question
The only reason this question is hard is because it's so unspecific.
>>9055581
This is actually standard exam question in third world.
None. Proof:
Halving the "triangle" results in square and lesser "triangle".
Halve it infinite number of times.
You end up With infinite number of squares and "triangle" with no area=point
You can't create a triangle with rectangles.
Triangles does not exist.
QED
28. I'm offended by this board's stupidity.
Most of you desperately need eliminating.
>>9055705
wrong.
>>9053806
If a similar triangle has n horizontal lines and m vertical lines then we have n*(m-1)*m / 2 triangles.
In OP's example n=4 and m=4 so # of triangles = 4*3*4 = 24.

show me where you got an extra 9. i'll wait.
>>9056960
You can take the first 3 triangles you draw to make one triangle.
You can do this to form other triangles you forgot.
>>9056965
that would form 28 but i agree. man i can't believe i forgot about that one.
>>9056971
>mfw i just noticed the repeats
just fmsu
>>9056960
I think he just fucked up in the editing process. The answer is 24, there are 24 images there but he forgot some combinations. Plus, he added the same triangle more than one time.
infinite.
open your mind.

For these types of problems the bisected ones count afaik.
>>9057086
We're not counting the bisections, though. Just the three sides of each triangle.
>>9053806
I count 21
