In my university, Mechanical Engineers have to take the same circuits and electric machinery courses as Electrical Engineers, however, they aren't expected to take the same Fluid Dynamics or Heat Transfer classes I had to take. Of course, Circuits and Electric Machinery are not the only thing Electrical Engineers work on, but it's easier for a Mech. Eng to work as an EE than an EE to work as a ME.
