why are electrical engineers the most right wing people in science?
Because H1B and Asia are taking their jobs or lowering the wages. Either chinks or the govt shilling STEM causing old dogs get laid while new grads are flooding the market and replacing them for a fraction of the cost.
After all this they find themselves in the software side because EE has negative job growth. I wouldnt want to be a EE

Pajeets take CS jobs and lower the wages, yet half CS students and graduates are trannies, Redditors or commies.

could be because a large aspect of electrical engineering involves moving numbers and resource management.

But why is my chinese H1B visa electrical engineer friend a crazy right winger

Probably because you have a shit sample size

Eh engineers tend to be right wing because the parents of said engineer are usually engineers themselves, and come from an old boys club. If not the case, consider that all engineering coursework does is turn people into stress junkies.

This.
Literally every electrical engineer I've seen is some tobacco chewing redneck whose grandpappy was taught how to fiddle with electrical wires back in WWII and decided that was how they'd show off their superiority to everyone else in the holler. It's also why they get SO angry with anyone who tries to correct them.
EE here.
I think "right/left wingers" are both propaganda drones who ignore actually important problems
