When you die there is no God who will hug you and tell you you have already gone through enough and now you deserve some peace. Instead, our whole lives are for nothing, and then we die. Nobody to mourn the things you so much longer for. Nothing you want ever came true. You were put in the world to suffer and you'll be stripped from your existence in death. That's what death is like.

What I fear is literally losing my mind. As I put it previously, our experience of existence is a collection of memories, desires, emotions, thoughts, hopes, dreams, ambitions. I have so many of those. They are plentiful. I feel like I need to protect those, and protect the mechanism that makes this possible, whatever the cost. I can't let go of it, even though I have had no life beyond depression. When I go to bed, I like to think when I die I'll meet some deus ex machina, and he will let me live the life I've always asked for.
