NASA has a history of getting people hyped up for "Major announcements related to alien life", then it turns out they still haven't found it.

They did it with those bacteria (From Earth) that used Arsenic in their DNA, then it turned out they didn't even test properly. They did it with the microbes in Mars meteors that almost everybody thinks are just natural rock formations, and they did it again after finding several planets in the habitual zone of the same star.
