It seems I might learn more about economics by reading evolutionary biology, ecology, complexity science and some psychology instead of reading actual economics

nice monke

You are right, not forget network science
Being able to research in economics is a different story. But desu economists are completley detached from reality, we got shitshows like neoclassical economics because economists are too busy proving highly abstract theorems that don't translate to real economies that are complex entities with emergent behavior
iktf. it seems like the more granular one gets into economics the less applicable it becomes

>You are right, not forget network science
I bet I forgot more
Heck I could make the case for anthropology

By Biology you will not learning the important MATH required to understand Economics.
MATH is the core & the most important part of Economics.
Economics without MATH is just Marxist pseudoscience.

There is math involved in those biology fields budy
Having taken Micro and Macro economics, I think Macro is a load of crap while Micro is more like proper math. In Macro, my teacher would say shit like "Ok, so the tax multiplier is the regular multiplied but minus 1 because reasons" I go "wtf" and she say "yea, just how it is" Macro economics is a shit model. Chaos theory or something would probably be better
>>8996623
Yeah good point but like the anon below you says there is math involved with biology fields as well
And it seems that economics has been treated with the wrong math
But sure you are right

Its like Socrates always said "There's only two kinds of truths in life, Money is worth something and you die"

>I took two introductory undergraduate courses and let me tell you how bullshit an entire field of study one represented is.
While your post is particularly stupid, it's par for course as I'd imagine everyone here's knowledge of economics also consists of taking no more than intermediate macro/micro.
