Sum of interior angles of a five sided polygon is 540 degrees. Sum of interior angles of a four sided polygon is 360 degrees.
Suppose the answer is 90 degrees. Then each angles has 18 degrees. Which means the quadrilateral's final angle has degree 360 - 18 - 18 - 18 = 306. But 5*306 != 540. So it's not 90.
Suppose it's 120. Then each angle has 24 degrees. Which means the final angle has degree 360 - 24 - 24 - 24 = 288. But 5*288 != 540. So it's not 120.
Suppose it's 360. Then each angle has 72 degrees. Which means the final angle has degree 360 - 72 - 72 - 72 = 144. But 144*5 != 540.
Hm, so perhaps it's none of the above. The goal is to find an interior angle x in the five-sided polygon such that 5*x = 540. This means x is 108. But then to satisfy the four-sided interior sum of angles, 360 - 108 = 252. And 252/3 = 84.
Therefore each of the marked angles is 84 degrees. And so 84*5 = 420 degrees
The answer is 420 degrees

sum of interior angles of a pentagon s 540
thus, each interior angle is 108 degrees
each angle inside a triangle adjacent to the pentagon triangles will be (180-108) = 72 degrees on average
so, 180-(72*2)= 36 degrees is the average angle in the outwards angle of the trianges
36*5=180 degrees.
Please recruit.
here sir 180 deg 100% sure

180 degrees
sum of the interior angles of a pentagon is 540,
assume the pentagon is regular, it doesn't matter for the sum of the angles which is what we want.
From this we can determine that the angle inside the pentagon is 108, meaning opposite on the base of any triangle is 72. assuming it is regular, every triangle has one base angle of 72. From the intersecting line rule,the angle on one base of the triangle is equal to the unnamed angle in a different triangle, therefore the angle on the other base is also 72. From the sum of angles in a triangle we can assume that the angle a is 36, 5*36 is 180,

This is an image of an arrow sweeping each of the successive angles in the star. Notice that, after it traces all 5 angles, its orientation is reversed - meaning it has rotated 180 degrees and that this must be the sum of the angles. We can do the same thing to the star in your figure, ergo, its angles too sum to 180 degrees.
Anyone who can't intuitively understand this should be sterilized.

Take each interior angle of the pentagon and look at the triangle formed by its emanating sides. Do some addition you get 540 = 5*180 - 2*sum, its 180 your done.
Sum of the internal angles of a five sided polygon is 540.
CAD=180-(ACD+ADC)
EBC=180-(BCE+BEC)
.
.
.
Note that the sum will include for each corner the interior angle of the polygon as well as the interior angle of the pentagram.
therefore:
A+B+C+D+E=900-(540+(A+B+C+D+E))
2(A+B+C+D+E)=360
A+B+C+D+E=180
