"What's outside the universe?" and what happens after we die?" are both questions too paradoxical for humans to work out but if you think about it they are the same question; "what exists after everything ends?" Even the proposed solutions are similar, compare multiverse with reincarnation. Maybe the answer to one will answer the other and vice versa.
