If I understand you correctly, you mean to say that you prefer it because there is no underlying logical connection behind your chart but the underlying connection implied by my chart, a technological breakthrough due to an unexpected advance in theoretical physics, is very much logical. I prefer my suggested correlation because, in fact, the dynamical mechanism of correlation is so logical that technological innovation is used as a textbook example for unexpected market shifts.
