Yes, they do a shitload of stuff, and it doesn't all have to do with space either (that's why there are two As in their name). They do a shitload of stuff with atmospheric science and frequently send reps whenever countries meet to sign environmental treaties - anything that has to do with the atmosphere or climate, basically. And that's the just the stuff that I happen to have heard about because people I directly know work in those fields. Guaranteed they do a zillion other things that you never hear about because they don't make for great news stories.
