Every single time I've run into a CS+Math major the "math major" part was a joke. They always take the brainlet courses that are offered for future grade school teachers and avoid any of the core math subjects like real analysis with metric spaces, algebra at the level of Artin, or topology.
A real math major with a cs major will never bring up the cs major out of embarrassment.
Life, not everything can be learned from books.
