Isn't there traffic stats for each of the boards? It fucking boggles my mind that /pol/ is now more popular than /b/, /v/, and /a/. Moot fucked up by not deleting that shithole before he left. This is a shit metric for seeing which is the board with the most users though.

Most people who are good at science are in the real world doing science, people who aren't very good are mocked out of the board, those who are in the middle can go look for the sources in the searchable archives, and most people who have questions don't get responded to very often.

Last time I checked, people like what they can relate to. And last time I checked /b/ was popular because it was built up on the premise of rebellion. If it's true that a large demographic of 4chan in general are adolescents, it makes sense that they would flock to /b/ considering it's notorious for bad behavior as opposed to /sci/ which as far as I can tell is mainly people who either pretend to be very knowledgeable about a field or are. Either way, no one can relate to /sci/'s plight as well as /b/'s from what I can tell.
