I fucking loath any class that has to do with systems theory. They are just so fucking tedious. The math is not hard and follows easily. The applications are clear and interesting but what we do in class is just

It's just rote learning of boring math.
I feel like if I ever needed this stuff, I could learn it as I go. I could cover the class material in just three days.

The input-throughput-output model is pretty standard for a shitton of systems theory; reducing it to its most basic form is neccisarily going to make it all sound samey, but have you ever considered that the actual qualities of the information provided have meaning?
Systems theory is just a template for understanding duder, it's not a fundamental law of group physics.
