Why are there no lava turtles or ICE elephants?

'Cause Pratchett died too soon.

They would become a spherical sun made of jet fuel
>>8895727
Heat required to turn ice to steam: ~3000 J/g
Heat of lava: ~1000 C
Specific heat capacity of lava: 0.84 J/g
You end up with solidified lava and boiling water. Then if they are actually the size of the sun, entirely disregard the above calculations, fusion starts happening and it becomes a star like normal, but later on in its lifetime.

>Heat required to turn ice to steam: ~3000 J/g

yes but those are spherical calculations, I'm talking about a flat-sun scenario
>>8895843
Same answers but the numbers are flat.

Hearty audible kej
It would create a 0-degree normal flat sun.
>>8895727
Its simple, the system becomes a giant rock.
What weighs more? 1 kilogram of fire or 1 kilogram of ice?
>flat sun made of lava
>not simply saying "the sun"
>>8895727
tits, that pic makes me think of tits
>>8897019
haha boobies XDD
>>8897011
Perhaps because the actual sun isn't made of lava
>>8895763
shut the fuck up
>ice sun
>not The Moon
>>8896999
Are you able to quantify fire?
>>8895865
KEK
Lava flat sun would win.
Ice is not as cold as lava is hot. Put your hand on a sheet of ice and you can keep it there for a while before it starts to hurt. You can't even get close to a sheet of lava without getting seriously burnt. There's just no way the ice can win.
Here, temperatures for better approximation
>>8899210
they would combine to create an Earth flat sun at 0 degrees Celsius
>>8899210
Flat sun of ice would boil the flat sun of lava. Inverted boltzman distributions are fucking weird.
>>8895942
a zero degree sun flat between two rock tits

Sour cream isn't ice
