Instead of using planes to transport things from one side of the earth to the other, why don't we just shoot what needs to be carried straight up in to space, wait for the earth to turn and then safely land.
This could transport shit to the other side of the moon in just 12 hours.

to the other side of earth*
>>8863709
shit idea
might as well drop it down an oil well and itll blast out of the other side of the world
What if we just put the items in a metal cart and used a magnet across the world to move them
>>8863765
What if we invent teleportation and then use that?
>OP comes up with a brilliant idea

But you have to accelerate/decelerate as well because just going up doesn't fix your lateral velocity. So OP is just suggesting using space for transportation. Just going up and down will land you roughly in the same position, so it's gonna be very expensive.
>>8863709
Don't listen to these people mocking your stupid idea. At least you are trying.

no its a stupid idea as the atmosphere of the earth moves along with the rotation. essentially atmosphere rotates too.
u may take the idea furthr by launching the product in outer space, but then the fall of the object through the earth atmosphere would lead to the wear and tear of the package like how the small meteorites burn out when they enter atmosphere.
secondly, i think that actual space agencies might be able to do so, by creating indestructable packaging, but maybe its just not economically viable, due to rsources costing more than the service.
>>8863709
Great idea OP, we can move much faster in the vacuum of space than in the atmosphere but the brainlet manipulation construct called money prevents us from doing so.
That space junk might be a problem.
>>8863833
Money is actually a great way to judge how much work/effort is needed. People just like low effort shit thats easy to do.
>>8863709
It will be too expensive and there's a higher risk of damaging your cargo.
Transportation is a spectrum.

Stop samefagging, OP.
