What do you mean? They are marching for science!
>>
Actual scientists and the radical left make for very strange bedfellows. The left love science, but only on a skin deep level, their ideology undeniably comes first and they will attack science to defend their agendas. They'll also make a mockery of the scientific method to progress their agenda, but hide behind virtue signalling and guilt tripping to deflect criticism.

Anti-nuclear industry/energy generation, anti-clean mining (trying to reduce mineral/energy supply from the West without reducing demand just means that non-Western nations pick up supply = also anti economic science), anti-biology in regards to gender, race and anything even slightly politically incorrect, anti-industry, anti-sustainable timber harvesting.. the list goes on.

Hilarious to see actual scientists support this virtue signalling event not realising that these ideologues would gladly throw them under a bus if they study the wrong thing, come to the wrong conclusions even when vigorously adhering to the scientific method and so on.
>>
>>8848685
Well yeah, but the left isn't in power.
No politician cares about facts, and the right is in a position to turn their anti-facts into policy.

>It's another episode of /pol/ conservacucks compiling cringe worthy extreme examples of the worst liberals to sway us into their side

Yeah, not gonna happen. Because sure, some leftists are really dumb. Sure, some may be really fucking dumb like these activists but you know something?

Some liberals are not stupid because they are liberal, they are stupid because they were born stupid.

Conservatives are stupid because their political ideology is literally retarded. You could have a genius and if you turn him into a conservative he becomes a retard. And that is the main difference between the left and the right.

The right is literally retarded. The left is just open for retards to join them.

Means worker control of the means of production and the economy. You are right about many scientists being socialists, but you're wrong about the people you refer to as radical left in your post. The liberals in the picture that you associate non-Trump supporters with are essentially centre-right, rather than radical left (socialist).

>>
>>8848703
>Means worker control of the means of production and the economy
No it doesn't. It means what I want it to mean in the context of my statement.

Everyone scales the political spectrum differently, but these people are no where near the right. This is the key point in my opinion, this activism and the people partaking in it is the same irrespective of agenda. The agenda is not science, nor is it gender equality, racial equality, sexual equality, migrant rights, etc.. or whatever they are protesting about on any given day - the agenda is always (consciously or not) the subversion of the West and its culture which incidentally is the foremost upholder of the scientific method and rationality in the World today. These people will happily sell out science to progress their main agenda, moving toward the dismantling of Western tradition, culture and causing internal destabilisation.

No one is defending conservatives.

>The right is literally retarded. The left is just open for retards to join them.

No, the right has an IQ below room temperature, the [math]current[/math] left has an negative IQ in the triple digits.
>>
>>8848723
They are not manufactured. They just put a lot of effort into it.

Why? Because I shit you not, I bet that every liberal arts bullshit course in every single university around that place gave an assignment and is handing out grades for doing that protest. That's why they look so nice. It is a university assignment.
>>
>>8848685
Furthermore, I suppose my main point is that if you genuinely believe you are a scientist, you are adhering to the scientific method in a respectful way. Then don't rationalise with these people, don't give them a second of your time or thought, don't give them any support whatsoever. Because they will sacrifice you if need be, they are not your friend or ally.

And they are stupid for jumping into that bandwagon. Non-retards do not jump into bandwagons.

>No one is defending conservatives.
True but that won't stop me from shitting on them when /pol/ decides to take a shit on my front page.

>the current left has a negative IQ in the triple digits

No, some leftists have a negative IQ. They are fucking social justice warriors. What did you expect? But not all leftists are social justice warriors. Heck, every leader of the SJW movement (Example: Hillary) is not even a SJW. They just use the useful handful of college aged idiots to do the campaigning for them.

>No it doesn't.
Yes it does. Far left has a definition, it's not what you want it to mean.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Far-left_politics

You can use the word "lefty" if you want to relativistilcally score a political orientation with respect to another, but not "far left" as a term.

>but these people are no where near the right
If you assume these people are Clinton supporters, they are essentially right-wing economically, and socially liberal. Also known as centre-right, so yes, they are close to the right. Remember that the most important factor of a political ideology are the economic policies. There's a reason we don't call socialists right-wingers, even if they are socially conservative.

>Degenerate west
I'm sure all those people are marching because they want to genocide whites by racemixing with niggers and turning white men into traps or trap-loving faggots. Either that or they're just naive and trying to lash out against a president they disagree with. Either way, I assume you think global warming is a hoax, and I find it kind of ironic that you glorify western science but claim that western scientists and brainwashed and/or lying to you.
>>
>>8848739
Keep brainstorming on these thoughts, you're close to a breakthrough.

Manufactured is not an incorrect word to use. Of course the people are real and genuine, but ask yourself, how did everyone come to hold these opinions? Furthermore, how did almost all left wing agendas so suddenly spring into existence in every single Western country at the height of the Cold War, ever progressing to this very day?

The 'manufactured' quality is compounded by the fact that this protest, the people involved and even the arguments used would look exactly the irrespective of agenda. It's the exact same for every leftist talking point since the 60's.

But do a little brainstorming, think of any leftist agenda you can think of, current or past. The agenda is always different and diverse, we've established the protests all look the same, but what else is similar? The breakthrough comes when you realise that all those agenda have the effect of establishing and subverting Western civilisation in some way - destroying tradition, culture, community and family.

>deny climate change
>deny statistics showing things like correlation with gun control and crime rates, socioeconomic factors more determinant than race or sex
>deny evolution
>want to enforce tariffs and support protectionism even though economic evidence shows this would result in a negative net effect on the economy
>are anti carbon tax despite economic evidence showing it would be a net benefit
>anti renewable energy and against funding further research into it
>anti abortion despite stats indicating it would save the country millions and help reduce poverty and improve social mobility
>cut funding to NIH and ecosystem preservation groups
>anti vacc
>haven't even mentioned the ultra religious types yet

I could go on but my point is that both sides will use and dismiss science whenever they see it fit in order to defend their extremist ideologies. Really kettle meets pot here.

Erm, you do know that you linked me to an answer where you quote someone that ISN'T me, right?

Even then, not having followed your argument with the other guy:

>how did almost all left wing agendas so suddenly spring into existence in every single Western country at the height of the Cold War
That's because Western leaders were afraid that the lower classes would envy working conditions in the USSR and cause unrest. Incidentally, this is one of the reasons social care such as universal healthcare spread throughout Europe.

SOCIAL liberalism on the other hand, did not appear until close to the end of the Cold War, and the Russian commies had little to do with it, considering they were extremely conservative and didn't allow their citizens such freedoms.

>ever progressing to this very day?

Left-wing agendas aren't progressing at all to this day. On the contrary, they're getting torn apart gradually. The NHS, the french and the mediterranean healthcare systems are all collapsing because right-wing governments have boosted privatisation and abandoned support for all kinds of social care. If you're a right-winger, you should be very satisfied at what's happening with Europe.

Socially progressive agendas are progressing simply because of the high level of development in the West. Give people complete freedom of expression and technology, and they're going to express their degeneracy. It's been happening since the times of the tribesmen and the Greeks, it's nothing new.

>Semantics
You were the one that started this argument. Using radical left as a term to describe social liberals is incorrect. Compared to Republicans, everything could be considered "radical left", so it's a descriptively meaningless term.

I walked through the "march" in the Boston Common and it was not as cringey as I had expected. There were even some amusing signs, and a few bait signs too.

There was one lonely antifa guy standing around and a very small handful of other political groups.

The "march" was also proximal to the science week demonstrations they had going on for kids. The media is playing this shit up more than anything.

>deny climate change
Thats what happens when a scietntfic issue is made political. But ask yourself, to what end do the left pursue the climate change issue. Is it actually saving the world?
>gun control and crime rates
You mean niggers and crime rates? You realise thats what global statistics show the problem to be, right?
>socioeconomic factors more determinant than race or sex
lol
>deny evolution

>want to enforce tariffs and support protectionism
There is no economic consensus generally, except fundamental rules like supply and demand.

>anti renewable energy and against funding further research into it

>anti abortion despite stats indicating it would save the country millions and help reduce poverty and improve social mobility

>anti vacc
thats a retard issue which goes across the spectrum, but in Australia its mostly wealthy inner city leftists desu

The big difference is that contrary to popular belief, the scientific truth is rarely inconvenient to the right in serious ways, they will actually negotiate and compromise. But for the left, it can shatter their ideologies to the core, there is no compromise there.

Kek. There are two types of conservatives today

1) Sheltered. white and rich people who want to protect the billionsd they make fucking everyone else

2) Sheltered, white middle class people who buy into the lies of group 1 about morality and degeneracy

3) White poor people who because of centuries of oppression by group 1 are now tied to a job in coal or oil and they have to support conservative ideology because if they don't they lose their job

Conservatives are the real cucks. They even cuck each other.
>>
>>8848797

I dunno why I'm doing this but.

>Thats what happens when a scietntfic issue is made political. But ask yourself, to what end do the left pursue the climate change issue. Is it actually saving the world?

I don't speak for the left but if they pursue anything that can reduce emissions, toxic dumping, etc. then why not. I agree the subject's been too heavily politicized but you can blame the right too on this, like the 'it was snowing outside today so no way there's climate change!' argument that's literally been used by Republican senators.

>You mean niggers and crime rates? You realise thats what global statistics show the problem to be, right?

Did I ever say anything about nigs not being a problem? I'm saying that statistics show income, geography, social mobility, etc. are bigger determinants for crime than race, and that gun control has a direct link with crime rates too in that countries with high levels of gun control have lower crime rates than other countries.

>See above, you've done that in you're second dot point.
What? What does that point have to do with the fact that the right tend to deny evolution?

>There is no economic consensus generally, except fundamental rules like supply and demand.

Actually there is a consensus, and a very strong one.

You should research this directly instead of relying on memories I have from half a decade ago but the story goes like this:

God is an opressive dictator. He created the angels and then humans to be blind worshippers but he made a mistake in Lucifar (Satan). Satan was able to think for himself and he saw the flaws in god and the flaws in how he treated humans so he escaped heaven and went to earth to teach humans to rebel against God. Satan is a scientist because he studies the creation of God (the world, angels and humans) for the purpose of fighting God, and he encourages his supporters to also study the world and live by our most reliable science, not on blind faith that God will help us when we need it because Satan knows the true nature of God: he doesn't give two shits if you die or not.

Believing that out there beyond our reality is a higher power thinking deeply about you and your future and has great plans for you is pretty delusional.

I mean, it could be true, but there is no way you can confirm it. So living thinking that such a thing is fact is very dangerous. For example, con artists could use that as a way to get you and exploit, something that has happened many times throughout history with big religious "prophets".

I don't know if this is true but my high school biology teacher said that when kids are born there's a scale from 1 to 10 and on one end of the scale is perfectly male genitalia and the other perfectly female.
The doctors then decide the kid's gender based on what their genitals look like and if it's ambiguous they ask the parents if they want them to snip something or leave it.
Can anyone confirm?

In very very rare cases, people are born with both genitalia
This is like saying that flipping a coin doesn't really have 2 options, because sometimes it lands on the edge

>Because of its lipophilic properties, DDT can bioaccumulate, especially in predatory birds.[51] DDT is toxic to a wide range of living organisms, including marine animals such as crayfish, daphnids, sea shrimp and many species of fish. DDT, DDE and DDD magnify through the food chain, with apex predators such as raptor birds concentrating more chemicals than other animals in the same environment
>The chemical and its breakdown products DDE and DDD caused eggshell thinning and population declines in multiple North American and European bird of prey species.[1][54][10][55][56][57] DDE-related eggshell thinning is considered a major reason for the decline of the bald eagle,[10] brown pelican,[58] peregrine falcon and osprey.[1] However, birds vary in their sensitivity to these chemicals, with birds of prey, waterfowl and song birds being more susceptible than chickens and related species.[1][12] Even in 2010, California condors that feed on sea lions at Big Sur that in turn feed in the Palos Verdes Shelf area of the Montrose Chemical Superfund site exhibited continued thin-shell problems,

>A real number is rational if and only if its decimal expansion is periodic, i.e. if its digits eventually repeat. This is a universal property of the number independent of the base in which it is expressed, so long as the base is natural.
What isn't rational is to claim that a post is true simply because its post number repeats the same number.

I agree, most government administrations have ample room to cut unnecessary spending. But the suits in Washington have taken stances on many scientific issues (climate change, vaccinations, etc.) that imply they have little respect in supporting scientific research. Look, here's the deal: This march is happening regardless if you want it to or not. Any movement will be defined by its most egregious protestors (see: BLM, Berkeley riots, alt-right heroes, Trump supporters as KKK sympathizers). If you're an individual concerned about legislators and the general public not giving scientific thought its dues, you can either sit at home and jack yourself off or go and demonstrate. Promoting the value of scientific thought is good. Although awful and misguided people interpreted it as an anti-Trump fest, you can hope that your personal message effected a slight amount of change.

The electoral college is the mechanism through which it occurs. However the root cause is the fact that the federal government, which is formed as a coalition of all the states, wields greater power. The greater the power of the federal government, the more able it is to override the local culture and laws of each individual state. Thus, if the members of the federal government of the modern day are chosen by hicks, then it is the hicks who rule over the lives of all states, rather than just their own.

The EC was designed so that candidates would need broader appeal, rather than stacking the deck in population centers and essentially being urban monarchs.

Without the EC, California and New York would rule the country and candidates would never bother to go anywhere else. None of the other states would ever matter. Plus it serves as a defense against vote rigging as it would be much easier to tamper with voting procedures in a centralized area instead of being spread out across the country.

Leftism, cultural marxism, third worldist, these people believe that white people are evil and need to be destroyed. Decolonize science is a way for leftists to attack white people by suggesting that since science has had so much contribution by white people, then whites are the reason why blacks have a hard time understanding science and succeeding it. The truth is that these racial gaps are due to IQ and genetics, but they don't care. Science is just a prop to attack white people. And these are the same people supporting these marches.

"decolonize" theory is being taught to leftists all across universities campuses.

I don't have an issue with the EC. It works perfectly for representing the states equally in the federal government. The main issue is that the federal government wields more power over the states than it should. Thus, issues that should be dealt with on a case-by-case basis in each individual state, are being dealt with by the federal government in broad strokes that apply to every single state
>>

I suppose it's a good thing but I don't like the "science" is some tangible and omniscient God, thing. It's the same as the "rational" community, just replace "science" with the flawed concept of "rationality".

It's a very basic mentality, quite dangerous in the long-run. We should be promoting people thinking for themselves and being very reflective. Not forcing baser and tribalistic ideology down each other's throats.

So is the Democrat party. Antifa is filled with mentally ill traitorous whites doesn't make antifa pro white does it? They hate white people, they hate white identity, they hate the white underclass, and they support non-white interests, and they deny race and IQ. "March for science" wasn't even organized by actual scientist, its just another leftist organization organizing a march. A very clever one since by tacking the name "science" into it, they can appeal to authority, but they only got weak reddit white leftists and other (((whites))), there is a blatant lack of blacks and mestizos because "science" just ain't that interesting to them.

>In fact, I think diversity is more dangerous then climate change, because the former really would destroy any chance of humans going to the stars
No. As societies natural compress into larger ones (as they have been doing for hundreds of thousands of years, the first "society" being a family). The group's ideology and morals become more aligned, meaning everything is easier because there are no opposing views and culture. It's far more powerful than fractured and bickering tribes ever could be. If those views and culture are worse than others we could have, is another thing entirely. But ultimately as long as it progresses technologically it doesn't matter what the culture/view/ideology is.

>Educating women was the greatest mistake in human history
>they really are just dumb animals that mimic male behavior creating the illusion they are actually people
If this is what modern alt right actually believes, the divide & rule social engineering has already won and 'the west' is beyond redemption.

No, women are not the reason why everything is fucked. Women are merely more gullible and easier to manipulate if you know which levers to pull. They use a emotions to a greater degree in their decision making, which by the way is a function hardwired by nature for very good evolutionary reasons.

The greatest mistake 'in human history' was letting education system be thoroughly undermined and be used as a tool for brainwashing. There are still a lot of schools that use intellectually stimulating methods of teaching, they just are privatized and have high tuition fees to assure that useless eaters wont have their equally useless offspring taking part in them.

There is a reason why Bill Gates and Melinda Gates were the main financiers behind modern common core 'revolution' but have their own kids privately schooled as far from its destructive influence as possible.

Comments like these disgust me because its clear you don't know anything about the subject. The only thing informing your worldview is ideology and some naive form of racial equality.

No, an IQ gap of 15 between blacks and white is not "insignificant". An IQ gap that mirrors a racial SAT gap is not "insignificant". A gap that accurately predicts that only a extremely small percentage of blacks will ever be intelligent enough for achieving social advancement via cognitive demanding job is not "insignificant". A gap that is so persistent that even in 2015, it is actually widening after closing up a little. A gap that is being blamed on "racism" and "whites" while demanding more money for non-whites while creating even more hostility and division in society is not "insignificant".

Yes it does. I don't care if I'm branding an entire side of the spectrum. It's not some parts, its many parts, it always has been. Its the most powerful and they seem more then happy to push third worldist policy and I despise them for it.

>>8849515

I'll tell you something else that happens naturally to societies. They die. Many large groups tend to be founded by genetically similar groups in the first place.

>But ultimately as long as it progresses technologically it doesn't matter what the culture/view/ideology is.

Only the former can allow the latter to happen. If the US starts descending down the Brazil, or worse, South Africa route, you can say goodbye to this "progressive" world view you have.

christ, if anything this just goes to show that science needs to be kept out of the hands of irresponsible normies.

Personal computers were a mistake
The Renaissance was a mistake

Maybe if you went to a shitty school. Biology is most definitely lowest on the stem ladder. It's pretty much just stamp collecting

Environmental protection is important
The EPA isn't

the EPA is a corrupt cesspool

t. a guy who has a BS in environmental science and who left his masters and fast-track to being an EPA officer halfway because of becoming disillusioned as fuck with how data was selected to fit the "narrative" (actual word used) and how more and more people started being open and joking about the vast amounts of bribe money that is passed around and even people who have gone missing mysteriously during shady assessments.
Yes, fucking really.
