36 year old brainlet here. Is there any hope of self-learning computer science and math as a hobby at this age?
I tried some Calculus courses and it was pretty easy to understand. So I'm not completely retarded, right?

Sure, why not?
Do proper cs not the JavaScript node.js faggy bootcamp
>>8844956
with quantum mechanics reducing everything to a probability of happening, anything is possible OP :^]

I did mean proper CS. I found some lectures on Computer Vision and Computational Complexity to be very interesting.
You're too old, grampa. Go dig a ditch in a farm and then jump into it. Computers are not for you.
>>8844956
Sure there is, but how the fuck would we know what you're made of?

>He thinks computer science is about computers
>>8844956
not knowing computer science is a sign of intelligence. studying it will turn you into more of a brainlet than you already are. you'll succeed I'm sure. You can forget about maths too, past 14 it's too late (serious)
>>8845014
Yeah right! Next you're gonna tell me CS is not a science either!
>>8845025
It's not. It's a subset of analytic philosophy, statistics and math using computers. Science is where you observe stuff and then attempt to explain it. There's no observation or experiments in CS. It's just algorithms and shit.

Go for it.

I was hoping that my gif would make my sarcasm obvious. I was agreeing with you from the start.

>Brainlet here
Stopped reading.
Yes absolutely. I work with a woman who completed a masters in math at 40+ and I certainly believe if she wanted she could do a Ph.D. So yes
