Medicine is a failed science. American life expectancy is declining. Medical knowledge is either wrong or so impotent that it can't change public policy.

Medfags, explain yourselves.

medicine's goal is to make money, not to extend lifespans or heal people.

In capitalism, there is a contradiction between use value and exchange value. Production is for exchange and not for use. This does not reflect the limitations of the field itself, but of our current mode of production.

You can't be serious, right? The reason so many Americans die young is because for some reason you're the last industrialized country that fails to provide adequate health care.
>but muh high tech
Yes, you have very high technology and great med schools. But hardly anybody can afford them
>bullshit, if you have a decent job
exactly
But yeah, life expectancy isn't going to rise anymore. We've reached a certain point where the problem of old people is just that your telomeres are gone or your mitochondria are fucked (no they can't be fixed)
>>8830724
>less than 0.5% change
>no error bars
statistically insignificant.

Jeez, it's almost like average lifestyles of individuals makes a big difference in health.
It doesn't matter if we have the best health system if the overall population is obese and doesn't exercise they will die more than a country whose health care system is mediocre but the population walks more and eats less. And I doubt this difference in lifestyle was created from our health system.
I hope you never do research because your reasoning for confounding factors is garbage.

And don't forget that you don't have the best health system in the first place
>>8830724
Ameriblubbers won't stop eating, so they keep getting illnesses related to obesity. They also can't afford healthcare because Clapistan serves as the guarantor of profit for pharmaceutical companies. Other countries all negotiate lower drug prices through their governments, and America covers the remaining costs.
Doctors are incompetent assholes that go into medicine just for the social status. Healthcare won't start getting better until everyone stops bending over backwards to defend the shortcomings of doctors.
How the fuck is this calculated to any meaningful level given all the possible variables?
Error bars on this must be literally +/- 7.5 years if done with any level of intellectual honesty.

More niggers, spics, and Walmart americans who are perfectly happy living in squalor, at 300 pounds, or both. If the country were 100% Aryan we'd live longer than we do now. See the life expectancies of Nordic countries if you don't believe me. Can't argue with facts.

this is the fault of capitalists and not medical experts
>>8830740
This, sadly.

This, Americans are fat fucks lmao. They're even celebrating their fatness now and they use euphemism like "plus-size"
