I love learning about different world views and the way they explain happenings, or fail to explain happenings.
I know a little bit about the Flat Earth idea, but I just realized I'm not sure how FEthers explain meteors.

I don't understand what's supposed to be the issue.

That's a really good question. There are different types. So lets start by defining what a meteor is.
>>
>>8811874
Anything that falls from a considerable height at great speed toward the surface that creates heat by way of air friction which in turn creates visible light. Does that sound fair?
>>
>>8811876
But what's wrong with that on a flat Earth?

>Australia the size of Russia, twice as wide as Canada
>Brazil bigger than US/Canada
>not only is NASA and evil science-men in on the conspiracy, but all truck drivers, sailors, airline pilots, etc.

>mfw can't even get into the science aspect when even the map doesn't work worth of shit

How could an rock falling on the flat earth model reach a speed fast enough to burn up in the atmosphere?
On round earth it is because it travels so fast in space that it exceeds terminal velocity, sometimes many kilometers per second.
>>
>>8811901
It's not that rocks fall into earth, the plane itself, accellerating in space at 9.8 m/s crushes with other celestial bodies.
>>
>>8811904
If our earth has been accelerating at 9.8 m/s^2 then we would have long ago passed the speed of light. This is impossible.
>>
>>8811904
Also how come some meteors make it to the ground without burning up if we are constantly gaining speed?

Only the ones who lie and say they've been to fictional places like Australia.

>we would have long ago passed the speed of light.

Actually no. The accelerating body would approach the speed of light and never reach it.

Those onboard the body would perceive themselves as continually speeding up, but their time would in fact be slowing down as they approached relativistic speeds.
