How many other brainlets are here just to pretend to be smart?
I thought I was smart until I started to frequent /sci/. Not that I was enlightened by the board's wisdom, but how similar of a jackass I am like 99% of the users.
I'm so smart I only shitpost on /sci/, because that's how little I think of you guys.

Well I don't act smart, I just feel smart by virtue of browsing here.

one time I saw a post so dumb that I couldn't even understand it. Probably a genius

I really wish the only people who posted on here were STEM PhD students. I hate seeing questions and topics that are so simple they literally piss me off looking at them.
Like I wish I could come on here and feel like a stupid piece of shit. But that's not possible with archeology majors and high schoolers thinking their smart because they saw an integral or hydrocarbon before.

It is really funny to me how specialized a lot of higher level academia here can be desu. In fields that aren't what I'm working on I am literally beyond clueless.
For instance, I can talk all day about Homotopy type theory or cat theory, but I have no idea what a hydrocarbon is. Does being academically silo'd make me a brainlet?
Just an observation.

If I typically come here to ask questions about impossible unrealistic things just to see if /sci/ can formulate a path to achieving that impossible or unrealistic question without any intention of learning what they're talking about, does that make me a brainlet or something else?
