so taking [math]r = 2^{-10} = 1/1024[/math], we get[eqn]\sum_{n=0}^\infty 2^{-10n} = \frac{1}{1-\frac{1}{1024}} = \frac{1024}{1023}.[/eqn]
no idea how you got an answer less than 1 when 1 itself is a summand. maybe you're just memeing?
