Its only me that thinks /r/Futurology/ became a piece of shit?
I used to lurk there to know about the latest tech advances but nowadays if you scroll past the frontpages the only topics are:
- Elon Musk cock slurping
- muh clean energy
- muh universal basic income
- hurr robots will replace ALL jobs
- other political shit in general

I honestly never came here until I figured I had something to contribute

It's the same way with every science/technology related subreddit.
The whole system of voting promotes retarded comment to the top while the people who actually know shit get downvoted.
The submissions themselves also trend away from technical info towards dumbed down pop science journalism as the subscriber count grows.

I don't even post there or adhere to their retarded circlejerk, I just use it as a link aggregator, and even for that its becoming shitty lately

I don't know because I've never been to that site, I'm not going to use a board that forces me to log in, and seek approval from others while commenting on anything.
Just don't comment, then you don't need to bother with an account or interacting with others

This, even on non-technical subs this sort of shit happens. Things verge towards memey, inoffensive and off-topic posts rather than on-topic and interesting. It happens on most subs that I have observed.
